Steve Earle – best known for his hit Copperhead Road – is a regular participant in the “Concerts for a Landmine Free World”, benefiting the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation, as well as Farm Aid.

He is an outspoken critic of the death penalty and an advocate for peace.

Steve Earle contributed to the “Occupy This Album” box set that came out in May 2012 in support of the Occupy Wall Street Movement.
