David and Victoria Beckham have donated over £1million (US$1.5 million) to help children in the last five years through their charity.

The Victoria and David Beckham Charitable Trust was set up by the couple to support initiatives for sick and disabled children. Past charities supported include UNICEF and organizations which help disabled children, such as those which provide wheelchairs to those in need.

Although donations to the Trust have fallen by £90,000 in the last year, the charity still gives to good causes.

David Beckham has revealed that he wants to dedicate his life to family and charity work when he retires.

The soccer star answered questions from readers of People.com, and revealed secrets about his life and family.

“I plan on spending time with the family and getting more involved in charity,” he replied after being asked his retirement plans. “Being ambassador for UNICEF is something I’m very passionate [about]. I went to Sierra Leone last year, which was an amazing experience. We also have our own charity – the Victoria and David Beckham Charitable Trust – and I’ve got a soccer academy. I’ve got quite a few things to keep me busy.”

Victoria Beckham wants to help you add a little “spice” to your wardrobe. Six of the dazzling outfits that Posh Spice wore during the recent Spice Girls reunion tour will soon be available to the highest bidder.

Posh is auctioning off six Roberto Cavalli designs, including a “diamond-dress” hand-stiched with thousands of Swarovski crystals, in hopes of raising one million pounds for the The Victoria and David Beckham Charitable Trust, which helps underprivileged children. Victoria’s mother, Jackie Adams, manages the trust.

Victoria, 34, said " I love all the outfits – for the memories they hold and for how beautiful they are," she told the Sunday Mirror.
