Summary

Originally a rape crisis hotline in 1974 for Placer Awareness House, a substance abuse and recovery services provider, PEACE became a link for battered women in Placer County.

Today it provides comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Placer County, California. These include a 24-hour crisis line, sexual assault/domestic violence emergency response, counseling, emergency shelter for battered women and their children and transitional housing, as well as educational community presentations and workshops on prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault.
