Teri Hatcher Helps Desperate Kenyans

Desperate Housewives’ Teri Hatcher has made a huge donation to help those affected by poverty and disease in Kenya.

The 43-year-old recently spent two weeks in Africa with her daughter, 10-year-old Emerson Rose, visiting schools and orphanages in the slums of cities such as Nairobi. She said the goal of the trip was to raise awareness of the problems that are faced on a day-to-day basis, and to help improve conditions and the lives of families and children.

Hatcher had raised more than $35,000 in donations and supplies from individuals and companies in the US for AmericaShare, a well-established organization that provides education, food and housing to children and adults affected by poverty and HIV/AIDS in Kenya, and handed over the money while visiting Nairobi.
