Brian May And Jimmy Page Portraits On Sale For Charity

Two of Rock’s greatest guitarists are featured in artworks on sale to benefit a charity that helps vulnerable children in Brazil.

Portraits of Queen guitarist Brian May and Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page are available to benefit the ABC Trust, a charity established by Page. Both rockers are patrons of the charity.

Brian May’s portrait is a stunning composite made up of a photo provided personally by the legendary musician. The original photo has been divided into 12 parts and painted in the individual styles of 12 different Oak Apple Art artists. The finished work is available for £250.

KISS Launches Auction For Jimmy Page's Charity

KISS has announced it will hold an auction to benefit a charity established by Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page.

The rockers have donated a Meet-And-Greet package to the auction to raise money for the ABC Trust, an organization that helps street kids in Brazil. The packages include tickets to the band’s gig at Wembley Arena on May 12, as well as a personal photo with the band, a concert shirt, poster, guitar picks and a $100 voucher at their online store.

All money raised from this auction will go to the Action for Brazil’s Children Trust, a charity dedicated to helping the street children and most vulnerable young people of Brazil. By raising awareness and funding, ABC supports the work of local, community-led organizations who give children the education, support and inspiration they need to transform their lives. An estimated 7 million children live or work on the streets, and 54 million live in poverty.

Jimmy Page Given Peace Award By United Nations

Guitar legend Jimmy Page has been given the first ever Pathways to Peace Award by the United Nations, just minutes after confirming he will play at a special Show of Peace concert in China in April.

“Although this award has my name on it, this is a tribute to the power of music and its positive effect,” he said. “Music has been the most powerful language to reach the hearts of people around the world. During my career, I’ve experienced the connection and harmony that music can bring.”

Page established the ABC Trust – Action for Brazil’s Children Trust – a charity dedicated to helping the most vulnerable children and young people of Brazil.

Jimmy Page Signs Led Zeppelin Charity Portrait

Jimmy Page has autographed a painting of the members of Led Zeppelin, with the proceeds from the sale going towards Page’s Brazilian charity, ABC Trust.

Page asked artist Jon Ellinor , 25, of Burstellars to do the painting of the legendary rock group after Annie Hollinshead of the ABC Trust spotted some of his other artwork. The painting will be featured at a month long exhibition at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary.

Ellinor graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, and recently opened his studio in Wyton. “Apparently Jimmy Page liked the painting and he is very fussy about what he signs and what he doesn’t”, he stated.
