  <title>Stars Wish Macmillan Cancer Care A Happy 100th Birthday</title>
  <description>Leading cancer care charity Macmillan Cancer Support recently asked its celebrity supporters &amp;#8211; including Kylie Minogue, Keira Knightley, Sting, Alesha Dixon, Joanna Lumley, James Corden, Anna Friel and Seth Rogen &amp;#8211; to share their 100th birthday wishes in a short film 100 Years Of Macmillan: A Birthday Tribute.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The short film premiered at The Macmillan Centenary Gala, an all-star evening of entertainment hosted by Graham Norton at The London Palladium on Monday 28 November.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Acting royalty Dame Helen Mirren wished for a very high heeled pair of shoes comfortable enough to walk around in all day for her 100th birthday, while TV presenter Amanda Holden would love to look 75 years younger if she reaches 100. Funny man Ricky Gervais wished for a real life hoverboard from the film &amp;#8216;Back To The Future&amp;#8217; while Myleene Klass&amp;#8217; dream present would be a grand piano which she could shrink and carry around in her handbag.

&lt;p&gt;The green carpet will be rolled out along Argyll Street for The Macmillan Centenary Gala to welcome a star-studded audience. Stars already confirmed to take to the world famous Palladium stage include Miranda Hart, Jimmy Osmond, John Barrowman, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jimmy Carr, Fearne Cotton, The Nolans, Arlene Phillips, Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff, Danielle Hope (Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz) and the casts of hit West End musicals Chicago and The Lion King.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Graham Norton said, &amp;#8220;It is an honour to be hosting The Macmillan Centenary Gala, which is set to be an incredible evening of glitz and glamour at The London Palladium.   <description>English football legend Terry Venables is part of a sport-themed lineup at a special charity gala, with proceeds to benefit Macmillan Cancer Support.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Terry Venables, noted former England football coach and player, will discuss the vicissitudes of his career and the sport itself at the fundraising gala. The gala will be held at the St Johns Hotel in Solihull, England, on 25 September 2008. Hosted by Talksport presenter Ian Danter , the event will also include a three-course dinner.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Venables is well known for his lengthy football career as both a player and manager in England and internationally. He played for the England national team in 1964 and managed that same team from 1994-1996. In 2006, Venables participated in Soccer Aid, a charity event that raised £2.6 million for &lt;span class="caps"&gt;UNICEF&lt;/span&gt;. Venables coached the England team, comprised of celebrities and football legends, which was victorious in the televised match against the Rest of the World squad.
