Big Cat Rescue

Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, FL is one of the largest sanctuaries in the world for abandoned, abused, orphaned and retired big cats, i.e. lions, tigers, cougars leapards, bobcats etc.

Part of our mission is to give the best care we can to the up to 150 big cats that call our 45 acre sanctuary home. The other part, and the reason we are referred to as an “educational sanctuary”, is to teach people about the issues facing these animals both in captivity and in the wild and what each person can do as an individual to help end the abuse and extinction. We do this primarily through guided tours and with our extensive website.
