Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society

Summary

Founded in 1904 by President Theodore Roosevelt, the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society operates nearly 250 offices ashore and afloat at Navy and Marine Corps bases throughout the world to ensure that all available resources (financial, educational, other) are used to assist personnel of the Naval Services – active, retired, and their eligible family members – for achieving financial self-sufficiency and finding solutions to emergency needs. The Navy-Marine Corps Society has more than 3,000 trained volunteers and is funded solely by charitable contributions.
