Celebrity-Backed Charity Gets New Website

Action for Children has gone local with the launch of my.actionforchildren.org.uk. The site enables the public to help disadvantaged children within their local community, by allowing them to identify and support small individual charity projects within their local area.

The new campaign has huge support from global celebrities such as Jessica Hynes, Dakota Blue Richards, Frank Lampard, Annie Lennox, Vanilla Ice and Dame Judi Dench.

The new website, the first of its kind for a UK children’s charity, is launched in conjunction with the publication of a poll of 2,000 people commissioned by the UK charity.

Christmas is a special time, a time for families, for sharing and giving but for some children Christmas is just another day. This year Kerrang Radio’s new charity Cash for Kids is going to do something about that for underprivileged children in Birmingham in the UK.

For this appeal, Kerrang Radio’s Cash for Kids have teamed up with leading Children’s charity Action for Children, who are committed to helping the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential. Recent research suggest that up to 10% of children in the UK experience neglect – it is the main reason for children to need a child protection plan ahead of both physical and sexual abuse.

British Celebrities Doodle For Charity

A variety of British celebrities have completed unique drawings to raise awareness of a charity committed to helping the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential.

The Celebrity Journeys campaign asked stars to illustrate “the start and end of a personal transformation in their lives in a single, unbroken line”. The drawings are currently appearing on an online gallery for Action for Children.
