http://www.looktothestars.org/charity/1365-love-hope-strength-foundation en-us 40 The latest news about celebrity good deeds and charity involvement <p><em><small>Written by <a href="http://www.looktothestars.org/contributor/14-tim-saunders">Tim Saunders</a></small></em></p> <p><a href="http://www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/400-kevin-bacon">Kevin Bacon</a> joined around 100 people in hiking to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado on Saturday, June 27, to raise money for the <a href="http://www.looktothestars.org/charity/1365-love-hope-strength-foundation">Love Hope Strength Foundation</a> cancer charity.</p> <p>The hikers each paid a $50 registration fee and each raised at least $1000 in donations to take part in the climb, and were treated to a special concert by the Bacon Brothers when they reached the top.</p> <p>&#8220;This is not a race, this is to enjoy,&#8221; said Foundation Director Shannon Foley. &#8220;This is for all people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Take it slow.
