British Stars Complete Charity Inca Trail Trek

The British stars trekking the Inca Trail in Peru for charity have completed their journey and are back in the UK – after raising over US$150,000 for Breast Cancer Care.

All five stars – Denise van Outen, Fearne Cotton, Alexandra Burke , Amanda Byram and Gabriella Cilmi – and the six women diagnosed with breast cancer who accompanied them reached Manchu Picchu in the weekend. The trek saw them hike over 80km through Amazon rainforest and over hilly and rocky terrain. The trail took them to high altitudes through some of Peru’s most beautiful scenery, finishing at Machu Picchu.

“It means the world to all of us!” exclaimed Fearne Cotton. “At the dinner we found out our total so far raised for breast cancer care! Over 100,000 pound sterling! So chuffed but we hope to build on this when home.”

Penny Lancaster Stewart Walks For Breast Cancer Charity

Penny Lancaster Stewart – the wife of rocker Rod Stewart – was among 1,100 walkers to take part in Breast Cancer Care’s charity walk in Oxfordshire, UK, on Saturday.

The event is held annually in four different locations around the UK, with participants donning pink clothes and walking either 10 or 20 miles.
Lisa Snowdon Completes Charity Parachute Jump

Model and TV and radio presenter Lisa Snowdon has completed her first parachute jump for charity – with the support of former boyfriend George Clooney.

Snowdon jumped from 13,000 feet to raise money for the Help A London Child scheme and the Shooting Star Hospice earlier this week. Last week, Look To The Stars revealed that George Clooney had donated $19,000 to the initiative.

“What a feeling,” said Snowdon. "When I got to the skydiving centre I was really nervous, it looked so high up. I don’t think I realized how high it was. My nerves were building when we went up in the plane and I felt really sick – it seemed to take forever to get up there. When we got up to 13,000ft the red light went on, then the yellow light which means it’s time to go and I freaked out.
