Blood:Water Mission

Empowering communities to work together against the HIV/AIDS and water crises in Africa.

Co-founded in 2002 by band Jars Of Clay, the first effort of this non-profit was the “1000 Wells Project” with a goal of raising funds to build, rebuild and repair 1000 wells in urban and rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa.

In 2009, the group celebrated the building of the 1000th well which will help bring clean water to more than 450,000 people.
