Steve-O To Race In Celebrity Charity Go Kart Event

Eagles Bring Their Long Road To Eden To Celebrity Charity Event

Hot Summer Concert Tickets Benefit Charity

City of Hope is currently auctioning tickets to three of this summer’s hottest concerts in the US.

Going under the hammer are two tickets to see John Mayer in Irvine, California, on August 24, as well as two tickets to see Tom Petty as he brings his Mojo tour to Mansfield in Massachusetts on August 19.

Also up for grabs are tickets to the OzzFest concert in Pittsburgh – featuring Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue and more – on August 19.

Ozzy Osbourne Screams For Charity

Ozzy Osbourne put his legendary rock lungs to the test with thousands of baseball fans on Friday, when he led Dodgers fans in the Guinness World Record-holding longest and loudest scream during the 5th inning break during their game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

As part of the third annual ThinkCure! Weekend at Dodger Stadium, Ozzy and his wife Sharon Osbourne, a cancer survivor, lent their support to ThinkCure! The stadium-wide scream was also in celebration of Osbourne’s upcoming Epic Records album SCREAM, due out June 22.  

Dodger fans were prompted to save their loudest scream for the middle of the 5th inning when Ozzy Osbourne and Stuart Claxton of Guinness World Records took the field and led the crowd in a “Scream for a Cure.” The stadium’s scream was measured in length and audio level in hopes of breaking the world record.

Rival teams Grand Ole Opry and “After MidNite with Blair Garner” fielded teams which include CMA Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist and Grammy Award winner Vince Gill, ACM Top New Artist and Top New Solo Artist Luke Bryan and two-time reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and Grand Ole Opry member Carrie Underwood.

In its 20-year history, the Celebrity Softball Challenge in Nashville has raised over $2 million for City of Hope, a leading research, education and treatment center for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Arnold Schwarzenegger And KISS Sign Poker Table For Charity

Poker fans will be itching to get their hands on a poker table signed by some great celebrities being auctioned for charity.

The San Manuel table has been signed by KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, as well as Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ray Romano, Magic Johnson, Mary Hart, Huell Hauser and Mayor Villaraigosa. 100% of the proceeds will go to City of Hope, a research, treatment and educational institution dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

The Who Launches Charity Tees For A New Generation

The Who just rocked out for over 100 million viewers during the Super Bowl halftime show, but it’s their new line of limited edition T-shirt’s from the good people at the Hard Rock Café that begs attention, as all sales benefit City of Hope, the charity working to conquer life-threatening diseases such as cancer and HIV/AIDS.

The limited edition “Who Signature Series: Edition XXVII” T-shirts, designed by band members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, are priced at just $26, with fifteen percent of each sale going to City of Hope. The tee design is pure ‘Who’ and depicts Townshend’s classic “windmill” guitar technique against a somewhat tattered Union Jack. The front of the shirt also features a Who backstage pass while the phrase “That’s Who” is printed on the back of the tee.

The Who’s relationship with the Hard Rock is more than meets the eye. According the ‘legend,’ over 30-years ago, Townshend was in the original Hard Rock Café in London when he noticed Eric Clapton’s guitar hanging on the wall. Clapton had asked that his guitar be hung to mark his favorite barstool and the club’s management obliged him. Then one week later the Hard Rock Café received a package from Townshend. Inside was one of his own guitars along with a note stating, “Mine’s as good as his! Love, Pete.” It was this impulsive move by Townshend that led to the Hard Rock’s line of rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia.

LA Kings Join Celebrities For Charity Hockey Game

On January 2, the Los Angeles Kings held a charity game, “Face-Off for Hope,” to benefit City of Hope. It took place at the Staples Center immediately after the Kings-Washington Capitals game.

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales and service fees was donated to City of Hope, a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Lakers forward Ron Artest was named an honorary coach. Professional hockey players Luc Robitaille, Jeremy Roenick, Russ Courtnall, Craig Johnson, Jamie Storr, Daryl Evans, Ian Turnbull, Brad Norton, Jamie Kompon, J.F. Jomphe, and John Blue participated in the game, as well as commentators Marty McSorley and Jim Fox. Actors David Boreanaz, Shaun Sipos, Michael Vartan and Cuba Gooding Jr. played, as did director Jason Reitman and E! Entertainment’s Ken Baker.

A group of Hollywood’s up-and-coming stars had their time in the spotlight on Saturday night, December 5, when they were honored for their charity work at Variety’s third annual Power Of Youth event.

Stars from “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and movies such as “Fame” and “The Twilight Saga” series were spotted at the star-studded event held on the New York street set at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

Stevie Wonder Named As United Nations Messenger Of Peace
