True Blood Star Latest Celebrity To Join Charity Campaign

True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård is the latest star to record a PSA for the It Gets Better campaign.

“I believe it gets better when parents start to lead by example,” says the vampire star in the new video. "We have to teach our children that, not only through our words but also through our actions, that every single human being has equal value.

“And to bully someone or for society to discriminate against someone because they have a different sexual orientation, it’s unacceptable.

Daniel Radcliffe To Be Honored By Charity

This June, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will receive The Trevor Project’s Hero Award for raising awareness of the non-profit group dedicated to supporting gay, lesbian, transgendered and bisexual youths.

The 21-year-old told The Associated Press: “It’s fantastic. The fact that they think of what I’ve done by promoting awareness of the Trevor Project itself and the issues that it works to promote and help is a great honor…the people that are doing the heroic things are the people answering phones 24 hours a day in the Trevor call centers. I think that out of everything that I have done so far in my career, I think this is absolutely one of the most important, if not the most important, thing that I’m associated with.”

To learn more about Radcliffe and his work with the Trevor Project, there’s a great video available here, or you can join the Trevor Project on Facebook.

Daniel Radcliffe Records PSA For LGBT Charity

Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe has lent a powerful voice to The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining crisis support and suicide prevention amongst the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) teen community.

His commitment to this cause hits close to home: “It’s something I’ve always been quite passionate about. Because I grew up around gay men, it was always a natural thing to me.”

Taking to the camera to record a public service announcement, Radcliffe unveils alternative solutions to reckless suicide: “If you’re feeling helpless or hopeless, there’s always a safe place to turn.”
