Stephanie March Becomes Charity Ambassador

World of Children, the only global recognition and funding nonprofit that recognizes individuals who are changing the lives of children around the world, today announced that popular television, film and Broadway actress Stephanie March has joined the organization as its Celebrity Ambassador.

“I am thrilled to support World of Children and its superlative efforts to fund changemakers around the world. It’s a great privilege to be associated with an organization that recognizes and funds those individuals really working in the trenches, and I look forward to being part of advancing positive change for children everywhere,” said March.

Known for her sharply intelligent and sympathetic portrayals of a variety of characters in television, film and theater, March’s television credits include “Law & Order: SVU”, “Conviction”, “30 Rock”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, and “Rescue Me.” Her film credits include “The Invention of Lying”, “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”, “Head of State”, “Flannel Pajamas”, “East Broadway” and “The Treatment.” March recentlyappeared on Broadway in the multiple Tony nominated revival of Eric Bogosian’s “Talk Radio” and in the critically acclaimed off-Broadway revival of Howard Korder’s “Boys’ Life”.

March is an activist for causes benefiting women and education. In addition to World of Children, she serves on the advisory board of OneKid OneWorld, an organization that rebuilds schools for children in Kenya and Central America, and has been on the board of directors of Safe Horizon for six years—an organization that promotes justice and provides support for victims of violent crime. March has also tutored children at the Harlem Village Academies in New York and is deeply committed to bringing quality education to children in local and global communities.
