Jenny Craig, one of the world’s leading authorities on weight management, has announced its support of the American Heart Association’s My Heart. My Life. healthy living initiative by launching a multi-faceted program entitled My Heart. My Life. My Jenny with global superstar Mariah Carey, best-selling female artist of all time, in the month of February during American Heart Month.

Chelsea Clinton Congratulates School For Healthy Habits

Chelsea Clinton paid a visit to a school in Brooklyn last week to congratulate students and staff for their work with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation to develop healthier habits such as practicing yoga and eating more fruits and vegetables.

Clinton, who is on the board of the Clinton Foundation, visited Public School 123 made the visit to recognize the school’s work in fighting obesity in children.

Bill Clinton helped create the Alliance for a Healthier Generation in conjunction with the American Heart Association in 2005. The goal of the Alliance is to reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity by 2015, and to empower kids nationwide to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Jennie Garth was at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City on Friday to take part in the Go Red for Women National Casting Call campaign.

Go Red For Women – an initiative of the American Heart Association – launched the campaign to ask women to tell their stories of the choices they’ve made to live a healthy life and improve their well-being. The campaign wants to film women talking about how they turned personal choices into life-saving actions, with the segments to be shown on the Go Red for Women website and TV special.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford was the honoree of the 10th annual Rick Weiss Humanitarian Awards in Palm Springs, California, earlier this week – an event that raised money for local charities such as Project New Hope, The Desert AIDS Project, the AIDS Assistance Program, the American Heart Association, Guides Dogs of the Desert, and the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center.

Crawford was presented with the award by Daisy Fuentes, and spoke of her brother’s death from leukemia at the age of four and her mother’s efforts to raise funds for research into the disease.
