The first annual “Hilarity for Charity” benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association will be a night of laughter and entertainment, featuring a great line-up of musicians and stand-up comedians.

The event – to be held in January – is co-chaired by Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller, and will feature celebrity performers and guests. 

Hilarity for Charity is dedicated to raising awareness and money to benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. The goal of the event is to raise awareness about the disease with a younger generation of professionals, influencers, philanthropists and supporters, leaving them with more knowledge about Alzheimer’s and a commitment to help the cause.

A Swingin’ Affair!, the Frank Sinatra birthday gala to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association on December 11 in Palm Springs, is becoming as star-studded as the late Sinatra’s life.

Recently added to the lineup of spectacular talent are Phillip Lomax, whose crooner ways led him to the Top 17 on this season of The X Factor, and actor/singer Luca Ellis, who just earned three Ovation nominations for his musical on Frank Sinatra, Hoboken to Hollywood. They join the previously announced Pamela Anderson, Frank Sinatra Jr., America’s Got Talent’s Daniel Joseph Baker, Matt Dusk, and Lainie Kazan.

The three-stop event kicks off with an exclusive VIP cocktail hour at Sinatra’s former Twin Palms estate, which was designed by famed architect E. Stewart Williams and lived in by Sinatra and first wife Nancy and then Ava Gardner. Canadian jazz artist Matt Dusk, who has three No. 1 international hits under his belt, will perform and cocktails and canapes will be served poolside from 2-5 p.m.

The A Swingin’ Affair! gala benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter, which takes place Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the Riviera Palm Springs, celebrates Frank Sinatra’s birthday in grand style. Hosted by Pamela Anderson, the event series includes three unique celebrations in one day beginning with an exclusive VIP cocktail party at Sinatra’s former home. Performances throughout the event include Frank Sinatra Jr. and his 20-piece orchestra, singer/pianist Daniel Joseph Baker (America’s Got Talent), X Factor finalist Phillip Lomax, jazz artists Matt Dusk and Luca Ellis, and actress/Broadway star Lainie Kazan. A huge number of stars and famous faces will hit the golf course in next month as part of the BMW Charity Pro-Am tournament.

The 2010 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation will be played Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 16 at South Carolina’s Bright’s Creek Golf Club, The Carolina Country Club and Thornblade Club. Among the 28 celebrities confirmed to tee off are former Eagles guitarist Don Felder, Catherine Bell, Samuel L. Jackson, Dr. Phil McGraw, Dennis Quaid, Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney, Kurt Russell, Kevin Sorbo, Luke Wilson and many others.

The BMW Charity Pro-Am is the only tournament on the Nationwide Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Nationwide Tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses. The 18th annual A Night at Sardi’s event – the annual star-studded benefit for the Alzheimer’s Association – will honor the entertainment industry’s Marshall family (Penny, Garry and Ronny) and producer Susan Dietz for their contributions in the fight against Alzheimer"s disease.

In an amazing display of dedication and support, hundreds of celebrities, businesspersons, sports figures, and entertainment-industry leaders came together for “A Night at Sardi’s,” the annual star-studded benefit for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Held at the Beverly Hilton, the much-anticipated March 4 event raised nearly $1 million for Alzheimer’s care and research. In 17 years, A Night at Sardi’s has raised nearly $18 million for the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

Comedian and author Chelsea Handler hosted the evening, which, in addition to cocktails and dinner, included red carpet arrivals, awards presentations and a research update. Actress Kristen Bell was one of the many stars to attend the 17th annual Alzheimer’s Association A Night At Sardi’s event in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, March 4.

Held at the Beverly Hills Hotel, the event attracted stars such as Jason Alexander, Vanessa Williams, Dick Van Dyke, Michelle Pfeiffer, P. Diddy, Greg Kinnear, Zachary Levi, Michael Chiklis and William Shatner, and honored the producers of Fox Sports and the TV show “Friday Night Lights”.

The charity event is one of the biggest annual fundraisers for the Alzheimer’s Association, garnering over $17 million since it was first held.

The Alzheimer’s Association aims to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, as well as to provide and enhance care and support for all affected and reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
