  <title>Ellen Pompeo Helps Foster Kids Cook Holiday Meal</title>
  <description>Grey&amp;#8217;s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo recently mentored 18-year-olds who have &amp;#8220;aged out&amp;#8221; of the Los Angeles County foster care system by helping them learn how to prepare a holiday meal.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The event, which is an annual tradition for the Alliance For Children&amp;#8217;s Rights, was held at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts – Hollywood and featured the following menu (which Ellen helped prepare):

&lt;p&gt;Celebrities expected to attend the tournament include Hank Azaria, Willie Garson, Kate Linder, Mimi Rogers and many others. Angie Harmon is a co-chair of the event, and the tournament committee also includes Annie Duke.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The &amp;#8220;All-in&amp;#8221; for Kids Celebrity Poker Tournament presents guests with an opportunity to play poker in the company of some of Los Angeles&amp;#8217; most influential entertainment and legal community members, poker players and celebrities.

  <title>Stars Step Out For Children's Rights Event</title>
  <description>Stars from across the broad spectrum of entertainment will be out and about in Los Angeles tonight, June 2, for the Alliance For Children&amp;#8217;s Rights second annual Dinner For Friends.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ed Begley Jr., Tia Carrere, Fred Durst, Joely Fisher, Tricia Leigh Fisher, Peri Gilpin, Dana Gould, Gail Berman, and The Alliance Board of Directors&amp;#8217; Angie Harmon and Sue Naegle of &lt;span class="caps"&gt;HBO&lt;/span&gt; will gather at the home of Abby Wolf-Weiss and Daniel Weiss to enjoy fine wine and cuisine from sponsoring restaurants, caterers and beverage companies throughout the city. The event supports the NextSTEP Program for youth aging out of foster care, and will feature meaningful work from The Alliance&amp;#8217;s Youth Council, including their personal documentary projects.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Alliance For Children&amp;#8217;s Rights protects the rights and futures of abused and impoverished children throughout Los Angeles County, in hopes of creating a world in which all children are able to have a safe and permanent family, access to quality health care, a quality education, and all of the support and services they so rightfully deserve.
