Join Katie Couric and Daryl Hall at Breakthrough Ball

Katie Couric is set to receive the “Key To Life” award from the Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation (CCBF).

She will be joined by legendary singer/songwriter Daryl Hall and NBA Champion/Founder of the Trent Tucker Non Profit Foundation Trent Tucker, who are the charity’s “Breakthrough Spirit Award” recipients.

CCBF’s annual benefit gala will be held on Wednesday, October 27th at the Plaza Hotel, and they invite you to join them for cocktails at 6:30 pm and dinner, program, and auction at 7:30 pm.

The Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation is to hold its annual Breakthrough Spirit Awards on October 20.

Following the success of last year’s event, the organization will once again host the event at New York’s Plaza Hotel.

The event will honor Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton, actor, writer and commentator Charles Grodin, and media entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner, each of whom has dedicated their time, energy and resources to philanthropic endeavors on behalf of children in need. The evening will feature a special performance by Toni Braxton and a live auction led by Jamie Niven, Vice Chairman, Sotheby’s.

The Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation (CCBF) will be hosting its annual “Breakthrough Ball” fundraising gala on Tuesday, October 28, at the newly reopened Plaza Hotel in New York City.

The Foundation expects to exceed last year’s highly successful fundraising gala that raised in excess of $1 million for treatment and research into the causes of childhood cancers and blood diseases.
