Celebrities will be participating in support of Junior Achievement of Southern California, The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, the I’m Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation, The Trevor Project and Grassroots Soccer. Each team of celebrity players will earn a minimum donation for their beneficiary charity and the winning team will earn $10,000 for their charity.

Cancer Foundation in an epic video game battle of Madden Football against Super Bowl Champion, FOX NFL SUNDAY co-host and actor Michael Strahan, who will be playing on behalf of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Bob Barker Donates $3 Million To Fallen Heroes Fund

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF) announced today that with the help of American TV icon Bob Barker, it has reached its goal of $60 million to complete its current project, the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), an advanced facility dedicated to research, diagnosis and treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI) suffered by U.S. military personnel.

The announcement comes after Mr. Barker, the long-time host of TV’s “The Price is Right” and a Naval aviator who served during World War II, pledged to personally contribute the final $3 million needed for the construction aspect of the project. Additional funds will be raised for research and other related items.

Donald Trump’s first season of Celebrity Apprentice helped many worthy causes. Stephen Baldwin won more than once for his charity of choice named for his mother, the Carol M. Baldwin Cancer Research Fund. However, the final two on Thursday night’s finale were the tenacious Brit Piers Morgan versus the American cowboy Trace Adkins in the quest to become the first Celebrity Apprentice to win $250,00 for their cause.

Morgan is recognized in the US as a judge on America’s Got Talent and known in the UK for Britain’s Got Talent, in addition to his work as a tabloid editor. The tough as nails competitor won nine out of eleven competitions and raised over $500,000 for his designated charity, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Trump helped Morgan add to his total to the tune of $250,00 as he was dubbed the Celebrity Apprentice winner. Critics say that he played dirty. Morgan states that he played the game to win money for his cause.

Stars Compete For Charity On Celebrity Apprentice

16 million people tuned into the first episode of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice on January 3, a show in which celebrities work to win money for the charity of their choice. Critics may argue it is a publicity stunt to boost ratings, but when $250,000 is at stake to go to a good cause, all is fair in ratings and charity.

The show marks the 7th series of reality television show The Apprentice, and features a return to the original format of a male team versus a female team. The men’s team named themselves Hydra, and the women have chosen the name Empresario.

Every week, the money earned on a project goes to the team leader’s charity. In the first episode, actor Stephen Baldwin headed the winning team, and the breast cancer charity named for his mother – the Carol M. Baldwin Cancer Research Fund – was the first charity to reap the benefits of male star power. Baldwin proudly presented a check in excess on $69,000 to the charity. His celebrity teammates include KISS bass player Gene Simmons, Heavyweight Boxing Champion Lennox Lewis, country singer Trace Adkins, America/Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, Ultimate Fighting Champion Tito Ortiz, and Sopranos star Vincent Pastore.
