Himalayan Trust: Celebrity Supporters

Set up by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1960, the Himalayan Trust provides the basic infrastructure needs that the Sherpas of Nepal really want (education, health, forests, monastery repairs and response to natural disasters).
Since its inception, the Trust has built 3 hospitals, 13 health clinics, and 30 schools, as well as countless bridges, water supplies, and airstrips.
