Lady Antebellum Visits Children's Hospital

Earlier this week, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of the Grammy Award-winning trio Lady Antebellum visited Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai for Musicians on Call/ Citi where they performed an acoustic set consisting of songs from the Lady Antebellum catalog and children’s songs.

They also appeared on Mount Sinai’s KidZone TV answering their questions from children in the pediatric unit and those confined to their rooms. Haywood and Kelley then went around and visited the bedsides of young patients.

Earlier this week, Lady Antebellum celebrated the release of their new studio album Golden with celebratory release show at the McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More presented by CITI. The band also made a donation to Musicians On Call on behalf of LadyAID, Lady Antebellum’s foundation formed to raise awareness and generate support for the plight of children locally, nationally, and globally who cannot otherwise help themselves.

Lady Antebellum has announced their “GOLDEN” record release show at the McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More, in New York City on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, presented by Citi.

The celebration will feature an intimate performance by the multi-platinum award-winning trio. The performance will benefit Musicians on Call, who brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. That evening, a donation will be made to Musicians On Call on behalf of LadyAID, Lady Antebellum’s foundation formed to raise awareness and generate support for the plight of children locally, nationally, and globally who cannot otherwise help themselves. While in New York City, members of Lady Antebellum will also visit the pediatric unit of a local New York City Hospital.

Darius Rucker Performs For Sick Kids

NBC’s Lester Holt recently traveled to Nashville, Tenn. to join Rucker and Houser as they performed and visited with patients at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt through the MOC Nashville branch. The visit, recently highlighted in Country Weekly magazine, was the focus of the Making a Difference segment of NBC Nightly News on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Kelly Clarkson Visits Children In Hospital

The Christmas spirit was alive and well when the multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson stopped by Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt prior to Christmas to sing and celebrate the season with patients, staff and families through Musicians on Call (MOC) Nashville.

Clarkson, who recently released her Greatest Hits – Chapter One album, visited with the children and performed an acoustic set in the Children’s Hospital Theatre. The songstress led the packed room in a sing-along of her favorite holiday carols including “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer,” “White Christmas,” and “All I Want for Christmas is You.” Clarkson encouraged singing and dancing, and the children were happy to oblige. Following the show, the kind-hearted entertainer generously offered to visit the rooms of patients unable to attend.

“This is such a special time of year and I’m so happy to be able to share it with all of these great kids. I’m probably having just as much, if not more, fun than they are,” exclaimed Clarkson. “I heard about Musicians On Call from a friend of mine,” she continued, “and I thought this would be the perfect way to get involved with a hospital music program here in Nashville. I love playing for the kiddos!!”

Chicago Raises $110,000 For Musicians On Call

Chicago rocked out at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on November 19 to raise funds for Musicians on Call (MOC) – a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.

The band’s performance raised over $110,000 for the charity.

The band performed its smash hits in an intimate setting including “Saturday In The Park,” “25 or 6 to 4,” and “You’re the Inspiration.”

Republic Nashville recording artist, Martina McBride, performed to a sold out Hard Rock Cafe Nashville crowd on Friday, Nov. 16 with all proceeds directly benefitting Musicians on Call (MOC) Nashville, the non-profit that brings music to the bedsides of patients in six area healthcare facilities.

Martina McBride To Perform For Musicians On Call

Country star Martina McBride will be performing a rare, intimate performance at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville on Nov. 16 to celebrate the five year mark of Musicians on Call's (MOC) committed service to Music City.

Trey Morgan's 30 Deeds In 30 Days For Charity

New York City based radio personality Trey Morgan will embark on a journey designed to shock him into a more philanthropic way of life. Over the course of 30 days, Morgan will attempt to commit his time to 30 different charitable organizations, 1 for each day of September, all while holding down his ‘day job’ and making it home for dinner with his wife.

This non-profit crusade is called, 30 Deeds, 30 Days, a term Morgan coined for it’s obvious simplicity.

Trey Morgan, a well known radio personality for New York City’s Z100, came up with the idea for 30 Deeds, 30 Days while feeling much the same as many around the country. Bacon Brothers To Play Hard Rock LA Tonight
