Saskia Akyil is an English as a Second Language teacher and author of numerous articles about teaching English as a Second Language to immigrants and to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She has also worked as a medical interpreter for Spanish-speaking immigrants in the US.
She is now on leave from her job to raise her young son. She lives with her son and husband in Germany.
