Donald Trump, real estate mogul, author, billionaire and host of the hit NBC show, “The Celebrity Apprentice” is joining forces with The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation to help educate children on stranger safety.

Beginning May 25, the “I Practice Stranger Safety” 45-second PSA featuring Mr. Trump will air on television stations across the nation.

Military non-profit The Boot Campaign has a new supporter on board! Country superstar Gary Allan has pledged his commitment to the troops by putting on his own pair of Boot Campaign military issue combat boots and “taking a walk in a soldier’s shoes.”

Supporters of the Boot Campaign purchase boots with all proceeds going to partner military charities that help with a variety of both physical and emotional issues that returning soldiers face today. The Boot Campaign wants Americans to put the boots on to “symbolically walk in the shoes of our military men and women to remember their service and sacrifice.”

“As a former member of the Army, this holds a special place in my heart,” says Gary. “I’m proud to work with such a fine organization. I’m headlining the Throwdown Tour this year and was glad to see that the Boot Campaign was going to be on the road with us. Southern California’s preeminent Arts education organization, City Hearts: Kids Say Yes to the Arts presents “A Day of Enchantment” featuring The 3rd Annual Shakespeare Challenge, Recital and Photography Exhibit on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, from 10am to 3 pm.

Glee star Max Adler will be special guest for the event. Recently named official International Spokesperson for City Hearts, he began the year by initiating the The Max’s ABC: Anti-Bullying through City Hearts Initiative, raising over $20,000 through an e-Campaign and a matching grant of $5,000 from the Frieda.C.Fox Foundation. Winners of the draw for “Lunch with Max” will attend the event. Max was also the winner of the Community TechKnowledge’s “Vote for a Hero” competition and a representative from the foundation will be present to award Max the check.

This is a free community event showcasing the work of over 200 students from Los Angeles’ inner city communities who have participated in City Hearts’ Arts programming in Shakespeare, Dance and Photography. Students will kick off the day competing in the Shakespeare Challenge, performing scenes and monologues in front of a panel of judges and attending audience members. The afternoon’s activities will feature student recitals and a photography exhibition.

Cameron is an advisor to Planetary Resources, a company that is planning to investigate the composition of near-Earth asteroids and then mine them. Tim McGraw To Give Houses To Veterans

Country music superstar Tim McGraw will be saluting veterans in a big way while on tour this summer as he is giving away 25 mortgage-free houses — one for each stop on his upcoming “Brothers of the Sun” tour with Kenny Chesney — to wounded or needy service members.

McGraw will kick off the campaign with a Memorial Day concert for military members at New York City’s Beacon Theatre during Fleet Week. A live stream of the show will be available YouTube and it also will be available to military bases around the world via The Pentagon Channel website.

“My sister’s a veteran, my uncle’s a veteran, my grandfather was a veteran, one of my best friends is a veteran,” McGraw said in an interview. “I’ve known people my whole life who are in service to America. And I think in my position to be able to do something like that is probably the ultimate thing. So to be able to go on tour and provide sort of a stable foundation for a veteran and their family is something I really look forward to.”

The Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF), a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and money to fund a cure for neuroblastoma, a pediatric cancer, is country music star Taylor Swift's charity of choice for the 2012 CMT Music Awards June 6 in Nashville.

The fan-voted show honors the year’s top country videos and musical achievements. CMT will make a donation on behalf of the winners in each category to their charity. CNCF stands to benefit from up to three nominations for Video of the Year for “Safe and Sound” featuring Swift with the Civil Wars; Female Video of the Year for “Ours”; and Collaborative Video of the Year for “Safe and Sound.” You can vote here.

Grinning into the camera as three chicks perch on his shoulder next to the caption “Chicks Love a Vegetarian!” the hilarious British comedian John Bishop is the face of PETA's new billboard campaign.

Bishop gave up meat in 1985 after seeing a cow being slaughtered. (“The cow was hanging up looking at me as if to say, ‘You did this’”, John said in an interview last year.) He also credits his diet with keeping him in top physical condition and wants his legions of fans to know that going vegetarian is the best thing that they can do to safeguard their own health, help stop animal suffering and protect the planet. The campaign coincides with National Vegetarian Week, 21 to 27 May. The billboard is located on Southwark Street, facing the iconic Borough Market.

Novak Djokovic And UNIQLO To Release Charity Tees

UNIQLO has announced that it has appointed Novak Djokovic, the world’s top-ranked male professional tennis player, as its global brand ambassador.

The five-year partnership, which takes effect from today, will see Djokovic promoting the UNIQLO brand and UNIQLO clothing worldwide. The partnership will also include collaboration on future product lines, as well as co-developing the ultimate UNIQLO functional wear.

Just two weeks after taking part in the first leg of a mammoth cycle ride which raised over £40,000 for his charity, Damon Hill took to four wheels for the first time in 13 years at Brands Hatch this weekend!

Along with other members of the former “ratpack”, which included Mark Blundell, Julian Bailey, Martin Donnelly, Perry McCarthy and honorary member David Brabham, Damon raced in the Volkswagen Scirocco R Cup at Brands Hatch on Saturday, as part of the DTM support bill. Stars Sign Letter To Presidents On Behalf Of Women In Afghanistan

A plethora of stars have signed an open letter from Amnesty International to President Obama and Afghan President Karzai in support of Women’s Rights.

Among the signatures on the letter are Yoko Ono, Patrick Stewart, Joan Baez, Sting, Stephen King, Cynthia Nixon and Meryl Streep.

“As champions of women’s rights who are dedicated to protecting women’s human rights, we are deeply concerned that the significant gains made by women and girls in Afghanistan may be threatened as U.S. and allied troops leave the country,” reads the letter. "We urge you to adopt a comprehensive action plan to guarantee that the clock is not turned back on a decade of strides in education, health, security and employment for women and girls. At stake is the future of Afghanistan, after billions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives have been sacrificed. We believe if women’s progress cannot be sustained, then Afghan society will fail.

MusiCares Hosts Ticket Giveaway For MAP Fund Benefit

Ewan McGregor Calls For Aid In The Sahel

Ewan McGregor is the latest star to record a PSA calling for aid in the Sahel region of West Africa.

The UNICEF ambassador has added his voice to stars such as Selena Gomez and Mia Farrow in raising awareness of the drought that has caused severe crop failures and food shortages across West Africa. UNICEF estimates over 1 million children under the age of five will suffer from severe acute malnutrition in 2012. The aid agency has launched a campaign to raise US$120 million to help relieve the effects of the drought, but only 66% of that total has been raised so far.

“Children in the Sahel region of West Africa are at risk of starving to death. Drought, failed harvests and increasing insecurity have created a humanitarian crisis on the verge of disaster,” said Ewan in his PSA. “We can stop these children from dying. UNICEF is the largest provider of emergency life-saving food for children in the region, but we have to do more before it’s too late.”

A fund has been established and administrated by UCLA to cover expenses of the launch of Teen Cancer America.

The Dempsey Center is an integral part of cancer care at The Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and affiliated cancer clinics at Bridgton and Rumford hospitals. Located on the CMMC campus, the Dempsey Center provides support, education, and health promotion for those touched by cancer.
