Fantastic Four star Chris Evans has lent his support to gay marriage issues.

Evans – whose younger brother Scott is gay – thinks it is “appalling” for homosexuals in California to be denied the right to wed, and hopes the change of Government will work in favor of gay couples.

“It’s mindboggling and appalling that human beings are being denied civil rights in this country,” he told The Advocate. “But time will heal all. I have to believe that in 10 years we won’t be having this conversation. We’ll be having another one, because we’ll always find someone to persecute.”

California’s State Constitution put Proposition 8 – the state Constitution that eliminated the right of same-sex couples to marry – into immediate effect on November 5, the day after the election.
