Mel B Cares For All Ages

By Elizabeth Willoughby on March 10, 2009

Singer Melanie Brown's auction last year of household goods and clothing in the UK went so well – bringing in thousands of pounds for CLIC Sargent – she’s decided to do it again in her newest residence, the USA.

“I’m going to be auctioning off a ton of stuff,” she said.

Spice Girls memorabilia, costumes from tours and wardrobe items from the Spice Girls movie and Dancing With The Stars television program are on the block, as well as items out of her closet. On her website she promises to add more.

“One hundred percent of what you bid on these clothes is going to go to two charities,” says Brown. "One is LA Children's Hostpital and the other one is Meals On Wheels, so you get to help the young and the elderly."

Total bids have already surpassed $4000 usd. Click here to view the items and place a bid.

I really admire her for all she has done, most people seem to forget that yes I know kids need the help so very much, but so many folks don't realize some of us who are older aren't old enough to receive a pention, and perhaps we've lost our husbands to a dreadful damn disease and now have little or nothing to live on, dear God do you know I really cannot remember the last time I was able to go and buy myself anything new and that includes everything possible even socks. I have to go out today to the Red Cross for alittle help I pray they say yes, and its snowing terrible, I don't own a winter coat or boots and as for buying any ha with what and that is the God's truth, I am going to the Red Cross in the hope they'll help me with my rent. I pray that God helps me, but I do so want to thank her for thinking of folks who are older. I so wish you'd move to Calgary, but then again as cold as it is I can't say I blame you,but it is a friendly town you'd be so loved, do give it a thought won't you! Take good care of you and God Bless You "Sweet Lady"!xo
