Look To The Stars’ lead host Michelle Vink attended the star-studded EcoStiletto event in LA last week, and filed this report about the event.

The new trend of today’s fashionistas? Shopping with a cause.

EcoStiletto proved that Green is definitely the new black for the Los Angeles fashionistas that came out to support their Second Annual Green Girl’s Night Out at Intuition.

On March 10th, 2009, loyal eco friendly shoppers not only brought out their checkbooks, but also brought in a pair of gently used shoes to support the charity, Dress for Success. In addition to that, 15% of all sales from the night were donated to the cause, with an additional 5% if guests used their own shopping bag.

The host committee for this event included Jennie Garth & Anna Getty who both support environmental causes. This particular charity event covered more than one notable cause. Besides the donations to Dress for Success & the overall eco-conscious awareness, Terra Firma Cosmetics’ lead free lipstick was used for shoppers to sign the Teens Turning Green Lips Against Lead petition with a kiss. L.A.’s Green Youth Movement facilitated this lip service.

Some of the socially conscious stars this night included Sarah Jane Morris (“Seven Pounds”), eco-expert and author Anna Getty, Katie Gill (“Drillbit Taylor”), Lorielle New (“The Practice”), Pamela Hasselhoff, Carolyn Hennesy (“General Hospital”) and Kristen Renton (“Days of Our Lives”).

In keeping with the theme, vegetarian appetizers and cocktails were served and a solar-powered Dj set the shopping mood for the eco fashion frenzy. Gift bags included a reusable shopping bag for future shopping trips, designed by Jennie Garth for Sierra Club with biodegradable cleaning wipes from Green Works Natural Cleaning Products.

For those of you that think that you can’t be trendy and stylish and still be environmentally conscious, would think again after attending this event. At this Los Angeles boutique, Intuition and their partner Ecostiletto.com, they believe in offering environmentally friendly alternatives for the today’s trendsetters, making it easy to be green.

Visit www.ShopIntuition.com to see some of these eco-friendly fashions and find out more about the store giveaway for an eco-friendly footwear basket worth $1,000 through March 26th.
