Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and her mother, Blythe Danner, have teamed up to appear in a new PSA encouraging people to volunteer.

The ad is sponsored by the Entertainment Industry Foundation and United Healthcare and aims to get more people interested in helping at a community level.

“The biggest blessing in life is to realise your personal power – community work brings families closer together,” says Paltrow in the ad. "Doing good for others, doing positive action – help always comes back around and enriches your life. It’s the biggest gift you could ever give yourself.
