Lady Gaga is set to host a benefit event that calls for same-sex marriages to be made legal in the US this weekend.
The Hands Up for Marriage Equality event will take place in Atlantic City tomorrow, January 16. The event will raise funds for four Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender charities – Empire State Pride Agenda, Garden State Equality, Equality Pennsylvania and The Power.
“I am honored to be able to continue to raise awareness and money for this cause and these outstanding organizations,” said Lady Gaga. “Organizations like these are in the trenches every day working on behalf of all of us whether you are LGBT or straight. Equal and full civil rights are supposed to be for all of us.”
The event takes place at The House of Blues, with tickets costing $20. Door sales only.
