Maiara Walsh To Co-Host Girl Prep

Desperate Housewives’ Maiara Walsh is returning to co-host Girl Prep, the interactive empowerment conference for girls aged 10-13.

Girl Prep was created as a response to the increased community concern for early intervention in the lives of disadvantaged teen and tween girls aged 10 to 13 years old.

200 inner-city girls from the Los Angeles area will be invited to attend the one-day conference on May 1st, which includes a meet-and-greet with celebrities, live music, lunch, games and gifting to name a few.

Our video from last year’s event includes interviews with Girl Prep supporters Deborah Gibson, Bailee Madison and Maiara, among others.

The event is free, though registration is required. Workshops will include self-esteem building, team building, leadership, youth engagement and violence prevention.
