Melanie Segal’s Celebrity S.O.S (Save Our Seas) Lounge – in celebration of the MTV Movie Awards – will take place today and Friday from 12pm to 5pm to raise awareness and funds for the devastating oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, where wildlife and local communities are in danger and suffering terribly.

For each celebrity that attends the event, Platinum Publicity is making donations to help the oil spill relief efforts in the Gulf of Mexico. In order to further make our earth a greener place, Platinum Publicity is also planting a tree in honor of each celebrity guest.

Celebrities are doing their part to help by signing various items to be auctioned off for charity, including a full size arcade game from Dream Arcades, a Celebrity Sign-In Board and more. In return for their support celebrities will receive gifts from DKNY, Stonyfield, DVDs from AMC and USA Networks, Deuce Brand watches, See Thru Soul Jeans, Hallmark, PNY Electronics, DDF, Scholastic, TIGI, House of Blues, Sprinkles cupcakes, One World Vegetarian, Coca-Cola, Cosabella and others.
