Nick Jonas has put his success down to his father, and Paloma Faith said her mum was her inspiration growing up.

The two are part of a group of stars of TV, music and theatre teaming up to speak about who influenced them as a child in support of children’s charity Chance UK’s Big Influence campaign which began on Monday 18th October. The campaign aims to highlight the positive impact that adults had in the lives of the celebrities when they were young, and to encourage people to become that positive influence for todays children.

Other celebrities, including comedienne Jo Brand and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, have thrown their weight behind the campaign, and spoken about the impact that a positive role model had on them when they were growing up.

“At Chance UK, we know how important a positive role model can be for a child, and what a big difference it has made to these celebrities,” said Chance UKs Chief Executive Gracia McGrath OBE. “They are urging others to be a big influence in the life of a child, and they can do just that by becoming a mentor for Chance UK.”
