Oceana is a proud conservation partner of Shark Week, and actively tries to protect sharks all over the world. Just last week, Oceana filed a petition to put West Coast Great White Sharks on the endangered species list in order to protect this threatened population. Oceana also successfully pushed for the US Shark Conservation Act which ended shark finning in all US waters.
