Thirteen-year-old Miranda is resilient. She has had a life-threatening cardiac condition since she was 2-days-old, undergoing two open-heart surgeries. At 11, she experienced a sudden cardiac arrest and suffered a brain injury. Doctors initially gave Miranda a poor prognosis for recovery. But she did recover, and slowly began learning how to walk again. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants her a special wish.
