Earlier this week, actress Shailene Woodley brought a guest with her the premiere of her upcoming film, “Snowden.”

Bobbi Jean Three Legs, 25, is a youth leader of the campaign to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline, which is set to cross the Missouri River less than a mile from her home on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota.

Bobbi Jean lead a group of over 30 youth who ran from the reservation in North Dakota all the way to Washington, D.C., to deliver then 150,000 signatures from their petition asking the Army Corps of Engineers to reverse their permit for the construction project. Today, their Change.org petition has over 300,000 signatures, and Bobbi Jean is one of thousands of people from across the continent who are camping out near the pipeline’s construction to observe and stop it. Several people have already been arrested for peacefully chaining themselves to construction equipment, while other water protectors have been attacked by dogs, brought in by Dakota Access LLC’s private security firm.

Bobbi Jean joined Shailene after months of support from the actress, who joined the youth for part of their run to D.C., and camped out with the water protectors for a month. Watch her and Shailene walk down the red carpet on her Facebook page.
