On February 20, Vanity Fair and Barneys New York, along with The Weinstein Company, hosted a private dinner at Chateau Marmont to toast the cast of the Academy Award–nominated film Silver Linings Playbook and support The Glenholme School, a therapeutic boarding school for students with special needs.

This event was part of Vanity Fair’s Campaign Hollywood, the annual week-long series of events and one-of-a-kind “moments” leading up to the Academy Awards in support of charitable causes.

Notable attendees included Vanity Fair Editor-in-Chief Graydon Carter and Vanity Fair Vice President and Publisher Edward Menicheschi, along with Silver Linings Playbook Director David O’Russell and cast members Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Jackie Weaver, Chris Tucker, Paul Herman and Dash Mihok as well as The Weinstein Company’s Harvey Weinstein, Barneys New York CEO Mark Lee, Barneys New York Creative Director and Executive Vice President Dennis Freedman, Barneys New York Creative Ambassador Simon Doonan, and more.

Director and screenwriter David O. Russell has been a supporter of The Glenholme School, a center of Devereux, as both a filmmaker and a parent. His experiences with his son, Matthew, who is a student there, inspired his work on Silver Linings Playbook, which has been nominated for eight Academy Awards. The Glenholme School, located in Washington, Connecticut, is devoted to young people who struggle with Asperger’s, depression, anxiety, and other learning differences. Services include a comprehensive academic curriculum, sports, fine arts, and an emphasis on community service. The program includes residential treatment, day treatment, and a summer program. The school’s milieu therapy is intended to address varying levels of academic, social and special needs development. Glenholme aims to prepare graduates for continued education in traditional day or boarding schools or for higher education.
