Domestic violence prevention and intervention organization, Jenesse Center and its long time ambassador Halle Berry are proud to announce veteran KJLH-FM Radio Personality Adai Lamar as the event Emcee for the Imagine cocktail party fundraiser to be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 6:30pm – 10pm, at the Wilshire Country Club at 301 N Rossmore Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90004.

Jenesse CEO Karen Earl said, “We are thrilled to welcome KJLH Radio personality Adai Lamar as our event Emcee. For years, Adai has walked the journey with us to share information with the community on Jenesse programs and services. She shows up early and stays late at our events, workshops and programs to raise awareness on domestic violence prevention and intervention. She has been diligent to ensure people in the community who need Jenesse’s help find their way to our doors. We couldn’t ask for a more faithful friend and partner in this movement to help women.”

KJLH Radio Personality Adai Lamar said, “I have watched Jenesse over the years do profoundly amazing work in the community to help women and children who were ravaged by domestic violence. It is refreshing to see their facilities that are such a departure from what many may expect a shelter to look like. They are serene, beautiful and nurturing spaces for families to heal. To watch Jenesse programs that focus on legal support, technology training, vocational aptitude, healthy lifestyles and holistic well being, it makes me so very proud to be a supporter. Jenesse does what they say they’re going to do and I’ve seen so many lives changed for the better because of this incredible organization. I’m excited to emcee Imagine. It will be an evening of hope, celebration and knowing Jenesse the way I do, lots of love!”

The goal of Imagine is to elevate the conversation around the topic of violence towards women, girls and men and advocate the human right of peace in everyone’s homes, workplaces and relationships.

Leaders from business, non profit, media, entertainment and government sectors are invited to attend. The event will shine a light on organizations and individuals who have moved the mission forward to raise funds and bring awareness to the issue, provide funding and relief to survivors and use their voice to stop the cycle of domestic violence.

Jenesse Ambassador Halle Berry said, “One in four women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. This is why for 17 years, I have worked with Jenesse first hand to bring awareness to this life-or-death cause. I am proud of the achievements we have made to heal women, girls and families ravaged by violent homes and relationships.”
