Childhelp USA and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are launching Dancing, Drama and Drawing for Dreams.

Dancer, choreographer and actor Maksim Chmerkovskiy is a remarkable Childhelp Celebrity Ambassador for the Childhelp’s residential treatment facility and advocacy center art therapy programs.

As he Cha-Chas for Childhelp, Maks will be able to employ the language and lessons of dance to affect great change. Toe-tapping Tweets, fox-trotting Facebook updates, waltzing through Childhelp events and free-styling videos are just some of the ways Maks will make a difference for our children.

The American Art Therapy Association asserts, “Art therapy is a mental health profession that uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages. It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight.”
