Grammy-nominated and three time platinum-selling American singer/songwriter Katy Perry recently autographed a very “Perry” inspired Epiphone guitar, painted by visual artist Jonathan Stein for the Miami GuitarTown project.

Perry signed the guitar in the green room right before the Fort Lauderdale concert of her “Hello Katy” Tour.

Miami GuitarTown is a public arts project featuring 10-foot tall Gibson guitar sculptures and regular size Epiphone guitars. The guitars are hand-painted by visual artists and will exhibit throughout the city and then be auctioned off for various local charities in the Fall of 2009.

For more information on how to get involved with Miami GuitarTown, which is administered by the Gibson Foundation, please go to www.gibsonfoundation.org.
