Oxfam UK has announced the lineup of acts for this year’s Oxjam launch gigs, to take place in London from September 27-30.

Oxjam is a UK wide music event organised by the charity Oxfam which took place for the first time in October 2006. Throughout October, hundreds of musical events will be taking place across Great Britain to raise money for Oxfam’s work to find lasting solutions to poverty, suffering and injustice around the world.

This year’s launch gigs will take place at a secret location – to be announced a few days before the show – and will feature Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell, Gabriella Climi, Diana Vickers, The Charlatans and more.

“It seems like a really good thing and it seems like it’s going to be a lot of fun,” said Borrell. "I’ve seen them do it before and I always thought it was a really cool thing.

“Playing intimate shows up close to the audience is very important to me and to do it in an Oxfam shop will be very special. Our gig is only the beginning of a movement of thousands of gigs, club nights and events right across the country, all raising money to fight poverty. "

Only 200 tickets are available to each show, and are available here.
