The Little Star Awards party, organised by Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx, is an annual event that brings together youngsters from across the UK for a fun packed party in their honour.

The party, held at The Roof Gardens in Kensington, London, saw 20 inspirational Little Stars, who are currently battling or have undergone treatment for cancer, enjoy entertainment and games and live music before receiving award medals in front of their families. The day was rounded off with entertainment from CBeebies favourite RastaMouse and musical group GoGoGo!.

Strictly Come Dancing star Robin Windsor said: “To lend my support to the Little Star Awards once again is such an incredible honour for me. These amazing kids and their families have been through such tough and gruelling times and to see their strength, spirit and constant positivity is truly humbling. Each and every one of these children is a hero.”

Fellow Strictly dancer Kristina Rihanoff said: “It’s such a privilege to be supporting the Little Star Awards and to help show these brave kids and their families that they are always in our thoughts. To have gone through so much at such a young age is incredibly tough and the Little Star Awards party is a fantastic way to reward these amazing kids for their phenomenal courage.”

Eastenders star Maisie Smith said: “I’m so glad I was invited to the Little Stars Awards today. The Little Stars are so brave and they deserve to be celebrated at this special party.”

Eastenders star Maddy Hill: “I’m so glad that I have been invited to the Little Star Awards, the space themed party is brilliant. The Little Stars have had a great time and so have I. Despite so many of them still being poorly, they are so positive and happy, it’s great to see them smiling.”

Actor Jamie Borthwick said, “I had a wonderful time at the Little Star Awards and it has been a pleasure to meet the Little Stars and their families. It’s been a lovely day and it’s nice to see the Little Stars laughing, playing and having an amazing time at their party. I am a keen supporter of Cancer Research UK and the work they do to help beat cancer sooner.”

Pop star Elyar Fox said: “I’m so happy to support the Little Star Awards. It reminds me of how lucky so many of us are, the Little Stars and their families have been through so much and some still have more to go through. This is a fantastic event and a great way to celebrate these little heroes.”

Party activities provided by Sharkey & George.
