In two months, the Andy Roddick Foundation will host its 9th annual charity gala, presented by Pine River Capital.

This year will feature a concert by country artist, Darius Rucker, at ACL Live at the Moody Theater. Tickets for the Friday, October 17 concert are on sale to the public now, start at $59 and may be purchased here or by calling 1-877-4-FLY-TIX or visiting the ACL Live Box Office.

The concert will feature Darius Rucker who is currently in the middle of his True Believers tour around his third solo country album. Since re-introducing himself to the world as a country artist, Rucker has achieved many successes including being inducted into the Grand Ole Oprey in October 2012. His first two albums each topped Billboard’s Country Album chart and together produced five number one singles. Rucker first attained multi-platinum status as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish.

This annual gala serves as the chief fundraising event for the Andy Roddick Foundation to support its mission to expand opportunities for young people to learn, thrive and succeed. Founder and Chairman Andy Roddick began the Foundation in 2000 and moved it to be headquartered in Austin in 2012.

“I am excited to have Darius Rucker join us this year in our annual gala,” said Roddick. “This night is important to help raise funds that positively impact the Austin area elementary school aged children we are working with.”

The gala includes a cocktail reception and exclusive live auctions, followed by Rucker’s concert. A limited number of gala tables and tickets are still available, please contact events@arfoundation.org.
