Doug Pitt Charity Work, Events and Causes

Photojournalist Doug Pitt was the first Goodwill Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Doug enjoys using his time and talents to help people in need, with a focus on providing clean water to people in Africa. It was on his first trip to Africa that he saw a well-drilling operation.

“It is the obvious first step to release people from dire poverty. Clean water must come first.”

Doug is a director of the clean water charity Africa 6000 and is scheduled to climb Kilimanjaro in support of WorldServe International's clean water initiative.

He founded Care to Learn to help school children in the United States who are struggling with hunger, health and hygiene issues, with the support of his brother, Brad Pitt and the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

Doug has been honored by Rotary International for his philanthropic actions.
