Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard will serve as special Celebrity Host for a black tie event featuring dinner, cocktails, stogies, boxing, auctions and entertainment for the OKC Charity Fight Night being held at the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center in Oklahoma City on Thursday, January 22, 2009.

All proceeds from OKC Charity Fight Night benefit the Oklahoma City Police Athletic League (PAL). PAL is dedicated to reducing crime by providing safe, healthy alternatives for children from high risk neighborhoods and offers several athletic and educational programs for thousands of Oklahoma City children each year.

“The OKC Charity Fight Night committee wanted to create a premier event that would also give back to our community and PAL is the perfect fit,” said Dick Horton, OKC Charity Fight Night event chairman. “The boxing ring offers the perfect analogy to inspire these children. When life knocks you down, you get right back up and fight your way back…When told of our association with PAL, Mr. Leonard quickly signed on to join this great event as he has a personal passion for helping all children succeed in life, despite the odds.”
