The Akron General Development Foundation will host Chef Curtis Stone of the Learning Channel’s Take Home Chef at a patron party on October 12, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, 3180 W. Market St., Fairlawn to benefit Hospice of Visiting Nurses Services in Ohio.

This year’s event ‘’Recipe for Comfort: A Celebration of Food,’’ will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a four-course meal with wine pairings and the opportunity to meet the hottest man to wield a blade. Not only has Stone released his new book ‘Cooking With Curtis: Easy, Everyday and Adventurous Recipes for the Home Cook’, but he was also given a Sexiest Man Alive nod from People Magazine in 2006. About Curtis Stone: Curtis is the main chef, and host of TLC’s Take Home Chef, he has appeared on numerous other cooking programs in the UK including Dinner in a Box, Good Food Live, and My Restaurant Rules, as well as several appearances on NBC’s The Today Show as well as Martha Stewart’s show Martha.
