Former supermodel Janice Dickinson has been sold at auction to aid the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Dickinson offered herself up for auction and was the top prize during the twelfth annual Bay Area Hope Gala at San Francisco’s Ritz Carlton hotel on Saturday, where an unnamed fan bid $20,000 to spend the day with the icon.

The winner bidder will spend the day with Dickinson in Hollywood, receive a makeover and a photo shoot and perhaps something more? “Whoever they are, they’re going to get a lot more for their money than they paid,” said an excited Dickinson after hearing the final bid.

Other lots up for grabs included trips to New York and Hawaii, the chance to watch the finale of US talent contest American Idol, and tickets to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is the worldwide leader for research to cure type 1 diabetes. It sets the global agenda for diabetes research, and is the largest charitable funder and advocate of diabetes science worldwide.
