The Iraq Star Foundation will host a celebrity charity golf classic today, July 12.

Iraq Star is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the necessary reconstructive surgeries to assist war veterans recovering from physically disfiguring injuries. Over 40,000 wounded veterans have returned to the United States and many have received injuries that require additional reconstructive surgery. Iraq Star’s mission is to not let the Iraq and Afghanistan wars permanently disfigure young lives. Iraq Star picks up where the military and V.A. leave off by providing the reconstructive, aesthetic, surgical procedures that can hasten a happier and more normal return to his/ her existing military or pre-war life.

Celebrities expected to attend include JR Martinez [AMC], Ron Perlman [Sons of Anarchy], Kevin Sorbo [The O.C.], Don Most [Happy Days], athletes and veterans.

The event takes place at the Woodland Hills Country Club in California. For more information, click here.
