“Harry Potter” author JK Rowling is set to join celebrated authors Stephen King and John Irving at a charity reading in New York this August.

The event will benefit King’s own charity, the Haven Foundation, and the international humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders. The Haven Foundation supports artists who have suffered illness or debilitating accidents.

King and Irving have previously performed charity readings together, and Rowling could not resist King’s invitation to participate in August’s event, saying “this was easily one of the most enticing propositions ever put to me in an envelope.”
