The iconic dress worn by Amy Winehouse on the cover of her Back To Black album has been sold for £43,200 at an auction in London, with the proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

“We are just over the moon and we owe a great debt to the designer, Disaya, who donated the proceeds from the sale,” said Amy’s father, Mitch. ""We are particularly keen to make donations in Camden, a place very close to the family’s hearts as Amy’s home.

“We want to give money to projects that make a direct difference. It is a source of great comfort to know that Amy would be proud of this and right behind it.”

Some of the proceeds from Amy Winehouse's upcoming posthumous album releaseLioness: Hidden Treasures – will also go to the charity set up in her name.
