Sunday saw the birth in Namibia of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, Angelina Jolie's first biological child with fellow actor Brad Pitt.

The couple will donate $300,000 towards equipment for treating new babies at two of the country’s state hospitals, and said, “We want to contribute to Namibia and the people who have been so gracious to us at this time.”

A further donation of $15,000 was made to a school and community centre in the Mondesa area.

Before becoming involved with Pitt, Jolie adopted two children; Maddox, from Cambodia, and Zahara from Ethiopia.
